LG recently held an invite only event at London’s Haymarket hotel to show off the latest Home Entertainment solutions as you would use them in the ideal home. This included their passive and active 3D offerings, OLED, Plasma and 3D Blu-Ray and gaming. The event spanned across two days with an evening for men complete with beer tasting, football and pizza, with the ladies enjoying cocktails, Sex and the City and pampering including manicures and massages on their night. Life’s Good at the LG Home!

Last week LG held an exclusive lifestyle event at the Haymarket Hotel’s Town House just off London’s Trafalgar Square to showcase their forthcoming home entertainment solutions for the press and a few lucky members of the public.

The event was designed to showcase how LG’s latest home entertainment solutions would look and could be used to maximum effect in your home. This included two themed evenings – one for the ladies and one for the lads with cocktails and beer tasting respectively, amongst other great treats for the lucky attendees. We will have videos of the ladies and lads nights up soon so you can see all the excellent things LG had to treat their lads and ladies, as well as highlights of the great home entertainment solutions being shown off.

Each room in the house was kitted out with a different home entertainment scenario to reflect how it could look in the home. This included the water-resistant EL9500 OLED TV shown in the bathroom, the stylish LX9900 Full LED active 3DTV in the living room with 3D Blu-Ray for the ideal home cinema set up, and the LD950 passive 3DTV in the kids bedroom with an Xbox360 playing Avatar the game in 3D!

We will have individual in-depth write ups of rooms and themed evenings coming soon to the LG Blog, looking at each home entertainment solution and its technology one at a time.

The Gadget Show review the LG GW620 Smartphone and OLED TV

  In this weeks Gadget Show web.tv episode, Jon Bentley puts the LG InTouch Max GW620 through its paces. His review highlights the value for money of the GW620, citing the QWERTY keyboard, the 5 megapixel camera, a 3.5 mm headphone socket and the range of connectivity as just some of the bonuses. He does ring up the resistive touchscreen and use of android 1.5 as drawbacks, but concedes that none of the flaws are big enough to defeat the proposition of the phone, namely a Smartphone that won’t break the bank! Presenting LG’s 2010 Television Range

LG have released the models and specifications for their 2010 Television Range, covering LED, Plasma, OLED and LCD sets. The range includes the highly anticipated LX9900 LED 3DTV, which is available in both 47 and 55 inch sizes.   The LX9900 (pictured) uses the active shutter system, rather than the passive as used in the LG LD920 3DTV, which is solely being released for commercial use.
