The future of Android
October 22nd, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
The future of streaming music from your Android handset just got a little closer.
Tech Crunch yesterday revealed plans for Google to launch a music service in the imminent future. Exciting news for all GW620 fans. This means that depending what service Google will be offering, it would make Google a Spotify competitor.
This news comes after it was revealed the Spotify service is to be included with an Android phone. This is an interesting move and hopefully it is only the beginning of phones offering high quality music streaming without having to compromise the quality of the handset.

British costcutters say no to restaurants but yes to new mobiles!
August 10th, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
Last week the BBC announced the results of an Ofcom review which suggests that we Brits are more willing to tighten the purse strings on our holidays and meals out than on spending on communication technology!
The watchdog's annual report says spending on mobiles, the internet and TV is regarded as a higher priority than almost anything except food.
In a poll of 862 people, over 40% said they would save on holidays and eating out and 19% chose spending on mobiles.
Interesting - and good for us! But I wonder what the motivation is, perhaps it's the conveniences our technology affords us;...

Designed to look like a compact digital camera, Viewty was the world’s first full touchscreen 5 megapixel camera phone. It was immensely popular from the start, selling 310,000 units in just the first five weeks of its release...

It's particularly exciting for us here at the blog this year as we have a guest blogger, Marc from Coolest-Gadgets, acting as our man on the ground to cover all the LG news from MWC, as it happens, and a lot more besides -no pressure Marc!
So, whether you're at MWC or watching the updates from the comfort of your sofa/workstation please be as nice to Marc as you always are to us. (Although if you like his shoes more than mine I may have to hurt you!)
Happy Monday...

If you're reading this on the blog then I'm clearly stating the obvious and you should feel free to ignore this post and instead oooh and ahh at the new design, but for the benefit of our readers on RSS feeds and whatnot (sorry, am I using too much technical jargon again?) we've got our new S/S09 look on, come have a look and enjoy - but try not to drool on your keyboard if you can, you don't want to end up with sticky keys!
Now, be honest - does this make my bum look big?
-But seriously, feedback on the...
