Ennio Morricone’s LG “Encore”

February 9th, 2011 by Dave@LGUK

5 years ago, few people would have thought it possible that mobile phones would be capable of reproducing full, orchestra-quality sound yet LG technicians had a vision that through advancements in technology they could create ringtones every bit as expansive and rich as hearing a live orchestra, a project they named “Encore.” To realise this dream LG needed a partner. A musician who not only shared their vision, but could bring it to life with music that was as powerful as the technology they hoped to create. Enter Ennio Morricone, whose CV includes such iconic film scores as The Good, The...

This beautifully designed product is the über stylish Opera, a Mobile Home by Dutch designer Axel Enthoven. The design is reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House which has become one of the most iconic architectural buildings of modern time. The production of such an object signals the interest in consumers desire to keep esthetically pleasant objects not just in the home but around one at all times. The future of Android

October 22nd, 2009 by Dave@LGUK

The future of streaming music from your Android handset just got a little closer. Tech Crunch yesterday revealed plans for Google to launch a music service in the imminent future. Exciting news for all GW620 fans. This means that depending what service Google will be offering, it would make Google a Spotify competitor. This news comes after it was revealed the Spotify service is to be included with an Android phone. This is an interesting move and hopefully it is only the beginning of phones offering high quality music streaming without having to compromise the quality of the handset. Watch this space for...

A world without technology

October 21st, 2009 by Dave@LGUK

Don't get me wrong, I could not survive without my GW520 through which I email, text message, Twitter and Facebook, sometimes all at once. Just take a look at the example of history created on paper back in 1969, by the lead singer of the Rolling Stones, sent to one of the world's most famous artists Andy Warhol. It would most likely never have been available for us to see had it been...
