LG Electronics (LG) has introduced a new monitor series based on in-plane switching (IPS) technology, the IPS5. The IPS5 series is the latest version of the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Award winning monitor line-ups of the IPS1 and IPS6 series. The beginning of each year is the time when there are a lot of big technology shows in the calendar as the big brands show off their products and innovations for the year ahead. It’s Friday and all eyes are on next weeks Mobile World Congress, so to give you a little break from all the anticipation we’re having a look at the world of screen technology and the interfaces we might be using in the future. A recent study by Brand Republic showed that one in seven 18-24 year olds watch no live television. This is not surprising considering that TV on demand is so readily available.
