Are you ready for Freeze?

Time out has listed Freeze as its top activity of the weekend and we can't blame them. It is almost time for Freeze, the UK's biggest winter sports and music event, to open their gates at Battersea Power Station in London to thousands of snow-sport and music fans.
The construction of the 30 meter ramp is almost done and all that is left to do is to add the 500 tons of snow to cover it. With acts like Pendulum, Orbital, Friendly Fires and Calvin Harris taking the stage Freeze is the place to be this coming weekend.

Google Maps coming to Android

More great news for all Android fans as Google Maps has revealed that they are taking their service to Android handsets. The system will be free and its quality far more superior than what is currently on offer. It will use voice search and you not necessarily need to know the full address to plan your journey.
As if that was not enough, Google Maps will be able to use traffic information and street view for helping you in your travels. Fantastic news for the Google Map fans that have been waiting for the LG-GW620 to come...

BBC’s iPlayer plans scrapped

The BBC had their plans of bringing their iPlayer together with ITV player, Five and Channel 4 OD halted by the BBC Trust. According to the BBC Trust, the BBC iPlayer which has more than ten million views a week, would not benefit from the link with the rival channels. The BBC trust concluded that the plans were too complicated with BBC's advert free programs getting mixed with other channels advertising funded shows.

The future of Android

The future of streaming music from your Android handset just got a little closer.
Tech Crunch yesterday revealed plans for Google to launch a music service in the imminent future. Exciting news for all GW620 fans. This means that depending what service Google will be offering, it would make Google a Spotify competitor.
This news comes after it was revealed the Spotify service is to be included with an Android phone. This is an interesting move and hopefully it is only the beginning of phones offering high quality music streaming without having to compromise the quality of the handset.
