Once again, LG design and technology have been recognized at the highest level. This time, the plaudits came at the 2010 ceremony of the iF product design award, held in the German city of Hanover on March 2.
Along with reddot and IDEA, iF is one of the most prestigious design awards in the world, recognizing products that unite function, comfort and aesthetics while also displaying genuine innovation. Mobile World Congress latest: LG and Dolby team up for 5.1 surround sound on the go!

LG and Dolby have teamed up to bring Dolby 5.1 surround sound to your phone.
“Dolby Mobile is designed to give consumers a full-impact audio experience for movies, videos and music,” says Rolf Schmitz, marketing director, Mobile, Dolby Laboratories.
“This version includes Dolby Digital Plus technology, which provides realistic surround sound for headphone playback, as well as 5.1-channel surround sound playback on home entertainment systems from the mobile device via high definition multimedia interface (HDMI),” he added.

The emergence of touchscreen technology as a staple in phone design has had both positive and negative consequences. The positive is obvious; touchscreen adds a new depth of interactivity for the consumer as well as a whole host of other features that just wouldn’t work without touchscreen.
