Enjoy HDTV, gaming and multimedia content with the M2362D monitor
February 24th, 2010 by Dave@LGUK
A recent study by Brand Republic showed that one in seven 18-24 year olds watch no live television. This is not surprising considering that TV on demand is so readily available. On demand TV is referred to as ‘lean forward TV’ in marketing, as when sat at a computer you naturally lean forwards, where as conventional TV watching is referred to as ‘lean back TV’ as, rather obviously, it is viewed as a more relaxing pastime.
Watching TV is meant to be a relaxing past time, but leaning forward hunched over a 13inch monitor watching the latest episode of Eastenders seems...

Top Mark for 42SL8000 TV
September 10th, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
In the aftermath of IFA, LG's success is continuing with another top rating, this time from What TV and HD TV Magazine. The 42SL8000 TV received a 5* Best Buy award. The review pulls out and highlights the key features such as the screen quality and sharp HD picture.
Particularly startling is how extremely sharp HD pictures look. Pristine Blu-ray signals are packed with spectacular amounts of fine detail, texture and subtlety. What's more, the screen's superb detail extends into dark areas of the picture. For, provided the image has been decently calibrated, dark scenes suffer far less from hollowness and...

LG Chocolate BL40 – first look video!
August 21st, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
I managed to get my mitts on a Chocolate BL40 for a (far too short for my liking!) time earlier this week - you can see the photos on our LG Chocolate BL40 Flickr set - and made a little video for you, showing off that HD LCD 4" widescreen (with 21:9 ratio) and it's impressive multimedia capabilities.
What do you...

LG’s 2009 TV range is now on film!
June 4th, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
Edd Dale from LGE UK's training team took some time out of his busy schedule to present these videos about the 2009 TV range for us. Some of them introduce new models in the range, including the LG PS8000 Plasma and this one on the LF7700 LCD TV with built-in FreeSat:
Others deal with specialized queries or explaining what the new features and technologies mean for the TV owner, such as USB connectivity or this demonstration of the - remarkable, I think, power-saving capabilities of the LG Intelligent Sensor - by constantly responding to the conditions of the surrounds the sensor...

Do you know your HD from your elbow?
August 27th, 2008 by Dave@LGUK
Research* by LG has this week revealed that the TV industry needs to do more to inform and educate consumers about high definition (HD). Results show that although the majority of respondents want to experience HD, over 60 % of those surveyed are yet to invest in it due to confusion.
• 25% of the UK still don’t understand what high definition is
• 80% of people don’t know the difference between HD Ready 1080p and HD Ready
• 62% of Brits still don’t own an HD TV
The main problem seems to be most customers think by buying a HD TV they will...
