LG Xperience is coming to Birmingham

The LG Roadshow is on the road again and the next stop will be the West Midlands. From Friday 4 December until Sunday 6 December the LG Xperience trailer will be parked by Junction 9 in Birmingham.
The LG Xperience is a 20 ft road show trailer full of the entire range of LG TVs (including the SL9000 ), and staffed by experts to take you through their features, such as the difference between LED and LCD. The LG Xperience is a 20 ft road show trailer full the entire range of LG TVs, (including the designer small screen TVs and the award winning PS8000 Plasma TV series), and staffed by experts to take you through their features, such as the benefits of 200Hz / Freesat HD and DivX HD playback. Freeview National Retune Day

This Wednesday, September 30th, is Freeview national retune day. That means anyone with a Freeview digital TV or set-top box (including homes with Top-Up TV and BT Vision) must retune it on or after that date. However if you own an LG TV with freesat HD built in (for example the LF7700) then you won't need to worry about the retune.
Why is this retune necessary? Because Freeview is making technical preparations for the introduction of Freeview HD later this year, and to make Channel Five as widely available as the other terrestrial channels at the time of digital switchover.

Is LG’s 42LF7700 with built-in Freesat your TV of the year?

We've just found out that the LG 42LF7700 has been shortlisted for TV of the year in the T3 awards!
2009 shortlist announced
The first round of voting is over, the experts have been quizzed and all the ballots have been counted. Now T3 can now reveal which products have made it through to the shortlist for the prestigious T3 Gadget Awards 2009, in association with Qualcomm.

FreeSat’s awards double whammy!

Today is a good day for me - earlier I got to share the good news on our LF7700 competition winner and now I get to congratulate someone else!
Last Friday Emma Scott, managing director of Freesat, took the top prize of the First Women Awards in the media category.
The awards, which were founded in 2004 by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and Real Business magazine, celebrate the achievements of women who are pioneers in business across a variety of sectors including media, finance, business services and manufacturing.
