LG to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 14 million tons in 2011

We are all very aware of the impact our everyday lives can have on CO2 emissions and the subsequent effect this can have on the environment. With that in mind we are pleased that LG recently announced that they are on track to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by almost 14 million tons this year, up from last year’s record of 12.9 million tons. The LE5900 gets a 5 star rating from What LCD & Plasma Screen for it’s eco-friendly credentials

What LCD & Plasma Screen have conducted a group test, but a group test with a difference. Instead of the conventional criteria for a review, the televisions were judged on their eco-friendly credentials. And the good news is that it is worthy of a 5 star rating, meaning you can watch your LE5900 for hours without worrying about the environment (or your electricity bill). Plant Powered Air Purifier

French designer Mathieu Lenhanner together with Harward professor David Edwards have come up with a organic air purifier , powered by a houseplant. The clever invention goes by the name of ANDREA and will be on sale from October. So how does it work? The plant absorbes the air through its leaves and roots and the filtered air provides a more environmentally friendly option to the standard air purifier.
