No, nothing to do with FFFFound, although that's always worth a visit too, just a couple of interesting things I've come across on my travels through the internet today, firstly an inspired bit of advertising gadgetry from marker pen brand Sharpie:
The creative minds working for Sharpie, the ultimate in permanent markers, have discovered a way to satiate our desires to deface public domain. Interactive e-cast billboards have been scattered around cities, which allow people to experience the rush of creating their own graffiti.

A brief hello

Hi everyone,
As you may know, Chris will shortly be moving on from this blog. We’ll miss him dearly and I’m sure you will too. I’ll be taking over his duties and, to keep things easy for everyone, my name is Chris as well. I’ll be working alongside Helen to maintain normal service.
Like the other two, I’m pretty fascinated by innovation in design, the arts and music and so, besides the inside-track on new stuff from LG, I’ll be bringing you those things that catch my eye while I wander the internet.

Thinking outside of the white box – Barcodes reimagined

Someone sent me a link to some amazing Japanese barcodes this morning.
These are by D-Barcode, a Japanese company whose website's title is "BIG IDEAS ARE SMALL, DESIGN BARCODE." Unfortunately the rest of the site is in Japanese so I can't find out more but it's a lovely idea, making the barcode part of the package design rather than the more usual white rectangle tacked on at the end.
