For 4 days in January Las Vegas becomes the focus of attention for technophiles worldwide as CES sets the tone for the year ahead.
Naturally LG will be there exhibiting their latest and greatest technology and we will be following every move right here on the blog, with the latest offerings from the worlds of Home Entertainment, Mobile Phones, Business Solutions and even Home Appliances.

Xbox 360 in 3D with LG

Displaybank has estimated that 6.2m 3D TVs will ship in 2010, a relatively small 3% share of all TV shipments. This is predicted to steadily rise to 31%, or 83m, in 2014. New technology will always have its cynics, but with PS3 and Xbox360 committing to 3D gaming, sales of 3DTVs can only be set to rise.
At this year’s CES Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg said that Xbox 360 was fully compatible with 3D in terms of technology. But he also questioned the level of interest around 3D gaming, stating "I think right now we're unsure what level of interest there is...

Presenting LG’s 2010 Television Range

LG have released the models and specifications for their 2010 Television Range, covering LED, Plasma, OLED and LCD sets. The range includes the highly anticipated LX9900 LED 3DTV, which is available in both 47 and 55 inch sizes.
The LX9900 (pictured) uses the active shutter system, rather than the passive as used in the LG LD920 3DTV, which is solely being released for commercial use. The benefit of the active shutter system is that it permits the use of 1080p (progressive image) which means that each eye gets a full HD image.

It's been a brilliant 2009 for LG and it seems an apt time to look back at some of the highlights from this year!

LG receive CES Innovations Award for new LH9500 LCD HDTV

LG's announcement of a series of technological advancements in “LED Backlighting” designed to enable a more robust picture was met with approval, particularly the wireless super-slim LED LH9500 model, pictured below, which was honoured with a CES Innovations Award.
