May 11th, 2011 by Dave@LGUK
The LG Optimus 3D lays claim to many firsts; the first dual-core, dual-channel, dual-memory architecture as well as the first full 3D platform providing glasses free viewing, recording and sharing of 3D content. Well here’s another one for you – we are excited to announce a collaboration with AR pioneers Wikitude to produce the world’s first three dimensional AR browser!
The Wikitude 3D browser allows for better interaction and engagement with real time user environments. While 2S AR only displays overlapped objects, 3D AR shows places, landmarks and objects in 3D making them easier to distinguish and more pleasing on the...

Popcode – the next wave of Augmented Reality application
March 18th, 2011 by Dave@LGUK
We are big Augmented Reality fans at the blog – anything to integrate the digital world into the real world gets our hearts all a flutter. Often I can be found navigating my way to the nearest coffee shop in a new place via Layar, as people stare at me perplexed.
Lately I have found myself captivated by Popcode – a new AR app developed by researchers at Cambridge University. Living Sasquatch – your very own virtual Bigfoot!
May 1st, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
The link of the morning in our office (Congrats Mike!) was Living Sasquatch - Sasquatch might be better known as Bigfoot over here.. At least I didn't get it immediately, could just be me though!
By either printing off the footprint, or downloading it to your phone and then filming it through your webcam and the site's built-in system you can make your own video clips of the programmable Yeti (they are Yeti, right!?). Cleverly the size of your Sasquatch can be adjusted simply by downloading bigger/smaller footprints - Sasquatch will always be to the same scale as his mark -...
