Hands on with the LG Optimus One
November 9th, 2010 by Dave@LGUK
It’s always a good day when a new LG handset lands on my desk. I relocate to one of the sofas in the office and get to legitimately lie around all afternoon and play with the phone! This was no exception when the new LG Optimus One handset landed last week.
Running Android 2.2, with a 3.2” capacitive touchscreen and a 3.0MP camera the LG Optimus One is one of the most affordable smartphones available on the market.
Having spent an afternoon lay on the sofa playing with it I was instantly taken with the UI. Running Android 2.2 LG have added...

Since March Google have managed to triple the number of applications in their market place. It is worth noting that Google run an open licensing policy, meaning programmers developing applications can add proprietary...

May 7th, 2010 by Dave@LGUK
Iron Man is my hero. Or more accurately Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man/Tony Stark is my hero. By his own admission he is narcissistic, but he is also quick witted, wealthy and successful with the ladies. In the new film he also has one of these
This is the LG Ally phone. Packing Android 2.1, full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, Micro SD slot, GPS, Google Maps and a 3.2 inch touchscreen this could well be the Android phone that LG fans have been waiting for.

LG InTouch Max GW620 reviewed
January 29th, 2010 by Dave@LGUK
Techradar.com have posted their review of LG’s first android phone, the InTouch Max GW620, awarding it 4 out of 5 stars!
The review states “LG has clearly thought about what users want from a phone like this”, listing the easy to use slide out QWERTY keyboard, high quality 5.0 mega-pixel camera, effective social networking overlay and it’s reasonable price as highlights.
Their main complaint with the phone is the use of the S-class UI (user interface) system, which the reviewer personally struggled with, but also conceded that it can be turned off according to preference.
The review concludes by describing the GW620 as...
