Digg announce ‘Digg Ads’ – giving users a way to feedback

Props to Rocio from LG Blog ES for spotting this one: Yesterday Digg announced plans for a new advertising platform — Digg Ads.
Digg Ads will give you more control over which advertisements are displayed on Digg. The more an ad is Dugg, the less the advertiser will have to pay. Conversely the more an ad is buried, the more the advertiser is charged, pricing it out of the system.

Where’s my silver jump-suit?

I might be a little late on the uptake here, but last week I saw, for the first time, these giant ad-screens on the London Underground.
I'm in two minds about them. Part of me is amazed at the paper-thin giant screens and the sheer level of 50's style vision-of-the-future they exude. Another part of me is reluctant to accept yet another level of intrusive distracto-vision into my daily life. Still, I guess I'll only start worrying when I'm faced with Minority Report-style hologram advertising

More interesting launches and ships on the horizon

Like Chris, I've been very impressed with Google's launch of Chrome but I also wanted to comment on Spore's SporeVote - where another canny move was made, launch-wise.
SporeVote launched a week before the release of the widely anticipated game, giving people the opportunity to submit the characters they've made through the Creature Creator (released in June to give a glimpse at some of the characters you'll be able to create in-game) and get extra buzz.
