3D gets cultural tomorrow night as Sky’s dedicated 3D channel will be bringing a new artistic element to its line-up with the first screening of an opera in 3D. Donizetti’s Lurezia Borgia has been produced in partnership with the English National Orchestra and will be directed by Mike Figgis, director of Leaving Las Vegas. And not to leave the sports fans out Sky recently reached the benchmark of screening 100 sporting events in 3D and consequently released the below video showing behind the scenes of a 3D broadcast from the Emirates stadium and the Manchester Evening News Arena. LG showcase their new range of monitors, including a 3D gaming monitor!

Yesterday I was lucky enough to attend the launch of LG’s latest LED monitors at the Future Gallery just off London’s Leicester Square. There was some great technology on display, ideal for both business and personal use, with a range covering both 3D and Full HD. Initially launched at this year’s IFA show in Berlin, the purpose of the showcase was to highlight the advantages that the range of monitors held in the workplace as well as the home.
