In the December issue of What Hi-Fi Magazine features a group review for 3D TVs entitled the ‘Ultimate 3D Super Test’.
The LG 50PX990 won the 3D Supertest with an excellent 5 star review, beating off 11 models including tough competition from Samsung, Sony, Phillips and Panasonic.

AVForums review the PX990 3D Plasma TV
November 4th, 2010 by Dave@LGUK
Steve Withers at AVForums has reviewed LG’s 50-inch PX990 active 3D Plasma TV, the world’s first THX certified 3D TV.
Steve picked up on many positive aspects to the PX990, commending the design, display menus, picture quality and features amongst others. Also flagged is the improved layout of the remote, saying “The supplied remote is the latest iteration of the standard glossy black LG design and personally I really like it. The remote is sensibly laid out, even more so now that the button for the EPG is better positioned, which suggests that LG have been listening to our feedback. The...

LG Optimus 7 – video review
October 26th, 2010 by Dave@LGUK
Christmas is something that I have sadly outgrown, however the term ‘like a kid at Christmas’ was certainly an appropriate term for my reaction when the new LG Optimus 7 landed on my desk last week. The handset uses Microsoft’s brand new Windows Phone 7 OS and is packed full of features, some exclusive to Microsoft’s OS and some exclusive to LG.
We have put together a short video introducing the LG Optimus 7, as well as showing off a number of the great features on the handset including Voice-to-Text and ScanSearch that are both exclusive to the LG handset.
Last week...

AVForums review the EL9500 – Our first OLED!
July 21st, 2010 by Dave@LGUK
OLED has been a buzzword for a few years now, heralded as THE technology that will revolutionize home entertainment. Aside from Sony’s 11inch offering that was launched 2 years ago (and is subsequently no longer in production) there has been little in the way of OLED available for the consumer market. Well LG’s commitment to new technologies strikes again with the arrival of the 15inch EL9500 OLED, in selected stores now!
You may well be asking yourself not only is this technology any good, but is this TV any good? Well according to AVForums it’s excellent!

Hands on with the LG Viewty Snap GM360
July 20th, 2010 by Dave@LGUK
I finally managed to get my hands on the new LG Viewty Snap phone and have been putting it through its paces!
One of the biggest selling points of the Viewty Snap is the use of it as a quality multimedia phone – with a 5mp camera complete with Optic-all zoom so you don’t lose picture quality as you zoom in. Build on this with an LED flash and good quality video recorder and you have a decent camera. The pictures below were taken using the camera, the second photo using the zoom.
The social network feature offers a dedicated connection to...
