The newly revamped LG App store is currently available across Asia and Australia, but the good news is that the LG applications store is coming soon!
The app store opened with 1400 apps covering everything from games to education, finance to travel, with the number having risen steadily since the app store launch. LG UK customers will soon have access to apps including The Sims 3, Worms 2010 and of course Solitaire. Hands up who likes exclusives? Me too, which is great because we have the brand spanking new advert for the LG Optimus GT540 that hasn’t even aired on TV yet!
The 30-second ad, the first in the UK for the Optimus, will be premiered on Tonight with Trevor McDonald on the 1st of July and uses the Wikitude World Browser augmented reality app to show off the capabilities of the Optimus handset.
The Optimus is LG’s second Android powered phone and promises to pick up where the GW620 InTouch Max left off. Full specifications available here

LG have recently undertaken a survey on Android Apps ahead of the release of their new Android phone – the LG Optimus GT540 handset.
