The great reviews for LG’s technology keep rolling in as Techradar award the BD570 media streamer an excellent 5 stars and ask the ultimate question, ‘is it a media streamer that plays Blu-rays, or vice versa? The review highlights the quality of the BD570 as both a media player and as a Blu-ray player, all in a small shell. LG bring the 3D experience to their lucky competition winners

April 8th, 2010 by joeO

Saturday was the first public broadcast of football in 3D and LG were at the Aldgate Exchange pub on Whitechapel High Street with the winners of our competition to watch the match. We had our own Life’s Good corner in the pub exclusively for the winners’ use, as well as stylish 3D glasses for the winners to wear and keep after the event. The match being broadcast in 3D was Manchester United V Chelsea, a game that could well decide the Premiership winner for the season so the tension before kick off was palpable. For the majority of people attending it...

The LG Viewty Smart has a smart ad campaign

March 19th, 2010 by joeO

I have rather poor observational skills. I seem to walk around in my own world, oblivious to the new haircuts of friends or old ladies with Zimmer frames glaring at me on the bus when I don’t notice them to give up my seat. I’ve been knocked down by 2 cars and a shop mobility scooter in the last year alone. The LG Viewty phone is clearly a lot more observant than me, because it can recognize up to 16 faces using Multi-Face Detection on its 8MP camera. To celebrate this technology LG has released the excellent advert below. At first glance...

March 12th, 2010 by joeO

Two drums and a cymbal fall off a cliff – b’dom, tssh! The old ones are the best, but now, thanks to self professed ‘geek comedian’ Tom Scott we actually know this is fact - because he threw two drums and a cymbal off a cliff! Being big fans of Tom Scott’s work we asked him to come up with a fun video using nothing but 2 VIP Lady GaGa tickets and some LG GW620 InTouch Max phones. So Tom devised ‘The Lady GaGa Race’. The idea is simple, get in touch with 2 friends either side of the country and...
