Blu-ray on a Big Fat LCD
January 15th, 2010 by joeO
We loved the LG 84” Ultra High Definition Display on show at CES this year. It has 4x the resolution of normal HD, is supported by Next Generation LCD Technology and was hooked up to our CES award winning HB994PK Blu-ray cinema system. The Blu-ray system, which was officially launched at the end of last year, works wirelessly so that you can stream content from external hard drives. It also has an 'invisible' centre speaker, supports YouTube access and has a Mood Lighting system (“woooo” I hear you say)!
Blu-ray = HD DVD playing...

LG announce launch of new Infinia TVs
January 6th, 2010 by joeO
Today we got to see for the first time the new family of Infinia premium viewing TVs. This range includes Full LED Slim TVs and accessories. The Full LED Slim TVs work with “detailed local dimming of up to 240 addressable segments, resulting in an HDTV that provides deeper black levels and uniform picture quality - this typically can not be achieved on an ultra-thin set.” (This basically means far better contrast between dark and light.) Aside from OLED, these puppies really are the crème de la crème of TV viewing for the year ahead:
All have wireless Internet connectivity
All are...

Brilliant Experiences: Dune Buggying & 3D TV
January 6th, 2010 by joeO
It can sound a bit dubious when big companies pledge to "constantly deliver amazing experiences"...and on a blog that is written for LG, you may raise an eyebrow upon the claim. However, we truly believe that this is what LG aims to do. LG aims to please, or deliver an excellent experience at whatever point you encounter them or their products. Whether this is through events such as their F1 sponsorship, F1 Rocks (the music show), or the amazing new LG Arena ... or, of course, through the adventurous products that LG launches.
Today lived up to that promise... while we...
