Me: “According to [this blog page] LG don’t offer any Freesat TVs. Why is this?”
LG Tech Support: “LG have decided not to enter into this market due to prior units that were manufactured for this facility experiencing difficulty in the implementation. You can always enquire however I can say unequivocally that LG will not be entering the Freesat market with its TV units.”
It’s a little bit difficult, so you give up? Well, I will be buying a new TV elsewhere then.

    Hi Gizmo,
The LG Google TV will be launched in the U.S first this year and then rolled out across the EU shortly after.

How many dimming zones will the LM9600 have?

  • LGBlogUK

We currently don’t have fully confirmed specifications for the dimming zones but hopefully will know more nearer the launch in April. Thanks.

  • LGBlogUK

Hi, most elements of HTML5 will of course be supported.

    Hi Nick,

LG is keen to always offer as many different types of technologies to our customers. However, this year, our main focus is Freeview HD as this is one of the largest sectors of TV viewing, along with Satellite (paid) and Cable TV.

    LG Fascinates me always!!
Is there any way by which a newbie can know about Tuners in LG tvs…  model nomenclature can helps in this…….????

  • Nicholas Shanks

My goal in buying a new TV is to eliminate the need to switch between the Freesat HD box, the computer running Plex, and the Playstation running Netflix. Since I have no terrestrial signal reception I don’t use the tuner in the television itself, all viewing is via external inputs. Also, my current Sony TV has terrible overscan issues. The computer pumps out 1920×1080 via an HDMI converter, yet the TV insists on stretching it up by 10% and interpolating what remains, and there is NO WAY to turn off this overscan (I checked both English and Japanese manuals, and called their support line). So if Sony cannot make a TV that works without errors, and LG cannot make a TV that works without errors (per tech support guy above) then could you suggest someone that can?

  • Jim Graziano

Do you have an exact ship date on the new TV’s in the US? I can’t find the 55 LW6500 anywhere and I am ready to make a move. I would like to get a LG but I dont’ know if I can wait until….
