Win Tickets to Grand Designs Live

April 18th, 2011 by LG Blog UK

Grand Designs Live returns to London’s ExCel Centre from the 30th of April to the 8th of May. A must in the calendar for any fans of the show, Grand Designs Live has something for everyone.

LG will be showing off their latest Cinema 3D products as well as Smart TV and our super slim OLED TVs. Our Cinema 3D technology enables an easy and comfortable 3D viewing experience for the whole family, due to the wide viewing angle and the more affordable glasses compared to the active shutter technology favoured by other brands.

Also on display will be our Smart TV technology that allows consumers to access a web browser, downloadable apps and a range of great features including access to Twitter, Facebook, BBC i-Player, Acetrax and VIEWSTER, both of which allow you to stream movies straight to your TV.

We have 5 pairs of tickets to be won for any day you wish to attend! To win tell us what gadget in the home makes your life easier in the comment bar below.

Terms and Conditions

1.) To enter the Draw, entrants are required to follow the instructions on the LG Blog UK website above, give their blog entry in no more than 25 words and supply their contact email address.

  • Danni

My laptop – having it means I don’t have to leave my home if I don’t want to and I can enter competitions like this!

  • http://profiles.google.com/jayantidurai Jayanti Durai

There is no one gadget which makes life easier – it depends on what each dislikes doing. Mine is a vacuum cleaner – just imagine carpets otherwise!

  • Wildy

Washing machine. Without which I’d have the dilemma of either wearing grubby clothes, or having to handwash EVERYTHING which would take forever and a day!

  • Tjclay

Ummm, I use loads, but probably the App that lets me use my phone as a remote control for my computer, I’m constantly changing and skipping tunes and scaring people by remotely turning up the volume!

  • Annaloa_hilmarsdottir

I would have to say that my most useful gadget is my Combination Microwave by DeLonghi. It microwaves, grills and has a convection oven ( great for pastry and pizza ). Long may it live.

  • Dan Caldon

Electric can opener. I have MS and I find it impossible to use a normal one

  • Christine_m_morrow2937

my wheelchair lift without it I would be confined to the bedroom I would have no access to the outside world also the disabled facilities such as bath hoist and window openers

  • Paul

  • http://profiles.google.com/kushlacat kushla cat

my rail that helps me get off the loo as i have two knees that need replacing. mundane, but true!

  • Kat

At home my laptop makes life easier for me: I can have entertainment on it (video, games…) I have constant access to the outside world, I can communicate and be in touch with friends and family and I can even do my shopping online viia internet.

  • http://profiles.google.com/robbieprior Rob Prior

I could go with my iPad… but I’ll go for the ease and simplicity of the good old remote control for the TV, gone are the days of getting up to adjust the volume, and change the channel…

p.s. yes my iPad could control the TV as well, it can do most things to most things to be honest :P

  • http://www.jasonmayes.com/ Jason Mayes

I think you should make your Android mobile phones have a wireless HDMI link to your TV’s so when you walk into the room you can use the tv as a screen for your mobile device. What with these beauties getting dualcore etc now, why not use it to play multimedia seamlessly? Make it an open standard so others in industry follow so I can use it anywhere with a suitably enabled TV. That is my vision.

  • ACT

It’s been around for a while, but the dishwasher is still a lifesaver for me.

  • CJ

I would have to say a tablet. It is just so versatile using it in the kitchen for recipes (it fits in a recipe book holder), reading the paper in the morning, searching the net whilst watching TV and using it for games on the go – don’t think I could live without one!

  • Mattsan1

An app that links the TV guide to a movie reviews site that combines lots of reviews and ratings for each movie!

  • http://www.headsetsmicrophones.org/ Headsets Microphones

That’s interesting. I want to win that ticket; I want to watch the show. I’m glad that LG has an event this year featuring their latest TV technology; I enjoy watching music videos with the LG digital TV that my Parents gave me as my birthday gift. Hoping for the success of this event, I’ll bring my friends to watch.

Online shopping. i suppose viewing stuff on a bigger/tv screen is easier than on a laptop.
