As I settled myself into my hard earned seat on the tube this morning I opened today’s copy of Shortlist magazine as I avoided eye contact with those standing envious of my seat. As I flicked through my eye was caught by their coverage of LG’s new HX330G pocket projector, so much so that I felt the need to research further and share my findings.
The 16cm by 6cm compact projector is designed with multimedia presentations in mind due to its portable nature, built in media centre and FM transmitter that can be used to utilize any nearby audio system with an FM tuner. There’s no need to worry if there is no FM tuner nearby though, as the HX330G has a pair of built in 1-watt speakers. With support for DivX HD, MP3 and JPEG files you can incorporate more than just your normal powerpoint presentation into business meetings.
Unlike traditional lamp projectors that are hindered by a lifespan that can be as little as 2000 hours, the HX300G uses an LED lamp that offers a lifespan of 30,000 hours. To put that into perspective, if you were to use it for 4 hours a day, it would last you 20 years! The 300 lumen LED lamp also offers a wider colour range and deeper colour saturation when compared with traditional lamps, whilst the pulsing LED light eliminates motion blur. In fact the HX330G is the only ‘pocket’ projector on the market with XGA resolution that offers 50% more pixels resulting in a higher picture quality making it ideal for wowing your boss with a high grade presentation projected up to 100” in size without losing any picture quality.
