October 12th, 2010 by LG Blog UK

Devicemag.com were one of the many sites yesterday to pick up on my slip, as I posted the LG Optimus 7 details ahead of the embargo. And I was down, literally hiding under my desk ignoring my constantly ringing phone. Please consider this my public confession… And remember “to err is human; to forgive...

The Future of Mobile Phones

October 7th, 2010 by LG Blog UK

We have covered content from the ‘TED’ talks before, specifically on the notion of using a headset capable of reading brainwaves in order to essentially control a computer with your thoughts. Now a PHD student called Fabian Hemmert has used the TED talks to discuss his theories on the future of mobile phones by asking “how can we make digital content graspable?” He starts by discussing the progression of technology, and how it’s becoming increasingly interactive. Rather than everything being controlled with buttons, we now have touchscreen displays controlling more and more technology. The same counts for the Nintendo Wii, it responds...

LG showcase their new range of monitors, including a 3D gaming monitor!

October 1st, 2010 by LG Blog UK

Yesterday I was lucky enough to attend the launch of LG’s latest LED monitors at the Future Gallery just off London’s Leicester Square. There was some great technology on display, ideal for both business and personal use, with a range covering both 3D and Full HD. Initially launched at this year’s IFA show in Berlin, the purpose of the showcase was to highlight the advantages that the range of monitors held in the workplace as well as the home. All displayed used LED rather than LCD, meaning a saving of up to 45% in terms of power consumption. This resulted in...
