LG at the Freeze Festival

I think the majority of us can all agree that a festival is a great thing – music, entertainment and some quality time with your friends. But the festival season is too short, confined by the temperamental nature of our British summer. Well forget that, as today is the first day of the Freeze Festival, the UK’s biggest winter sports and music event.

Taking place at London’s spectacular Battersea Power Station, and LG will be there – the skyline at Freeze is dominated by LG’s Big Air World Cup snow jump that stands 32m high, 100m long and is made of over 500 tonnes of real snow! Used as a showcase for the world’s best snowboarders to compete for the title of World Champion as the London leg of the FIS-sanctioned World Cup.

If you prefer sliding really fast down a hill on two pieces of carbon fibre rather than one, then fear not as the Freeze festival is also home to the International Freestyle Ski Big Air.

When the sun sets on the slopes the night is only just beginning as the music stages come to life, with a diverse range of musical acts ranging from the chart bothering pop/indie/dance hybrid of Mark Ronson with his live band the Business international to Mercury Prize winning Drum and Bass pioneer Roni Size. Other acts gracing the main stage include New Young Pony Club, I Am Arrows and the day-glo sounds of nu-rave youngsters Hadouken!

Have a good weekend and a happy Halloween everyone!
