Glee star teaches text education with LG
August 26th, 2010 by Dave@LGUKNeither parents nor children enjoy ‘those’ conversations about the serious issues. Discussing sex with your children or parents is undoubtedly a necessity, but what is the best way to broach the subject?
LG are offering parents in the US a helping hand with a video they have produced on the subject of ‘sexting’ (the distribution of pictures or pictures of a sexual nature via your mobile device, or making sweet sweet text as one nerd says in the video). The video is presented by Jane Lynch, better known as Sue Sylvester from Glee, as part of the LG Text Ed campaign. The video injects some much-needed humour into what is a potentially awkward subject, as well as addressing the serious issues that can arise from sexting. The video acts as an introduction to the subject, with a follow on guide from Dr Charles Sophy a psychiatrist specialising in Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Family Practice, entitled “The Download on Sexting”. This offers parents a guide to sexting, offering information they should all be aware of including the laws that are potentially being broken, before presenting a guide to what parents can do to guide their children in the matter.
