The HB965TZ, LE5900 and LE8900 reviews are in!
July 2nd, 2010 by joeOTechradar recently gave the LG BD750 Blu-ray player a 5 star rating and now the HB965TZ Blu-ray player has received a 5 star review and taken the top prize in a group test with What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision.
The HB965TZ is an all in one speaker and Blu-ray combo offering wireless connectivity and “stylish design”. Up against similar offerings from JVC, Panasonic and Samsung, the LG walks away with the top prize being “a wonderfully rounded, highly capable all-in-one system”.
The strengths of the HB965TZ are listed as “stylish design; built in wi-fi connectivity; punchy, clear sound; colourful, detailed images” resulting in it being the “clear, undisputed winner of this four-way Group Test”.

In another Supertest, What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision award the LG LE5900 a 4 star review. The reviewer says the LE5900 is a set “that looks to marry stylish design with myriad features, and of course high performance – a task that LG has plenty of recent form for pulling off”. And it looks like LG have pulled it off again as the review flags the strengths of the set to be “bags of features, with DLNA and NetCast; Freeview HD; stylish design”.

Home Cinema Choice have reviewed the 47-inch LE8900 and gave it a 4 star rating. The reviewer is particularly impressed by the quality of the Full LED picture and the fact this is squeezed into an impressive 3.5cm depth, its responsiveness and use of ease and excellent contrast.
The review concludes saying “the crisp high contrast 47in LCD panel and full LED backlight are winning combo that’s produced the best picture quality we’ve seen on an LG LCD TV.”
