The first time I saw The Blair Witch Project I thought it was real and I was terrified! I think it is only surpassed in the length of time it made me sleep with the lights on by The Exorcist (and I was FAR too young to watch The Exorcist when I did). I mention this because the second winner for the Home Entertainment Hero competition has been selected with his excellent video showcasing his Blair Witch Project film night.

Matt Milne was the lucky winner and he really did go all out turning his living room into the forest from the Blair Witch Project, even hanging creepy wooden effigies from the ceiling like in the film. But the real strength of his entry, cleverly entitled The Blair Itch, lies in Matt’s decision to screen the film in the dark with a night vision camera trained on him and his friends. Watching his guests hide behind their hands in the grainy green tinge of night vision footage as they in turn watch this on screen is an excellent effect, and really reminds you just how downright terrifying that film is!

And for all of you familiar with the Blair Witch Project, make sure you watch right to the end for a nice little closing nod to the film!
