Hi Samantha, you may need to flick through the sound modes (try BYPASS) to get stereo music from the rear speakers as well. Only a digital connection (i.e. from a blu-ray or DVD) will give tru 5.1 surround sound.

no sound from rear speakers help! When I test the speakers in the setup menu they make the test tone they should however when we watch a film or try to play the ipod only the front speakers make a sound
