LG Optimus phone – users guide…
May 19th, 2010 by joeOOptimus Prime was my favourite Transformer. He was a good guy, but wasn’t afraid to use his loud and intimidating Optimus Prime voice to get people to do what he wanted. If that failed he just used the fact he was a giant robot and fought them, and from what I remember he didn’t lose very often.
I mention this because the new LG phone is called the Optimus, due to it being an Android phone. It’s clearly aiming to pick up where the GW620 left off, bringing a smartphone to the masses that you won’t have to pay through the teeth for, but will still do everything that you would want a smartphone to do.
Specifications:
• Long-lasting 1500mAh battery
• Android 1.6 OS
• 3.5mm headphone jack
• Bluetooth 2.1 capability
• Assisted GPS
• 32GB of expandable microSD memory
• Automatic account synchronisation with all Google mobile services
• DivX and Xvid video compatibility
• 4 customisable home screen themes
With the imminent release of the Optimus phone LG have made a series of tutorial videos showing you how to do a wide range of things with your phone. These range from the practical like inserting your simcard and battery correctly, through to highlighting some of the cool features that the GT540 is capable of like how to set up your social networking sites and Google talk instant messaging service.
This first video shows you how to set up your contacts list, including attaching a photo to the profile.
This video shows you how to set up your social networking sites on the Optimus phone using LG’s own social media widget.
