The Gadget Show review the LG GW620 Smartphone and OLED TV

In this weeks Gadget Show web.tv episode, Jon Bentley puts the LG InTouch Max GW620 through its paces. His review highlights the value for money of the GW620, citing the QWERTY keyboard, the 5 megapixel camera, a 3.5 mm headphone socket and the range of connectivity as just some of the bonuses. He does ring up the resistive touchscreen and use of android 1.5 as drawbacks, but concedes that none of the flaws are big enough to defeat the proposition of the phone, namely a Smartphone that won’t break the bank! Watch the full video for yourselves below.

Also featured on The Gadget Show’s web.tv this week is a feature on the LG EL9500 OLED TV. At just 3mm in thickness at it’s narrowest point it truly is a stunning television and, as pointed out, it is looking likely that it is soon to be the only OLED on the market in the world! But don’t take our word for it, it’s on display on the LG Stand at the Gadget Show Live so go and have a look for yourselves.

  • I like LG TV very much, the color very real, I have 2 LG TV in my house now.
    Thanks for the video.
  • I have seen demonstrations of various OLED screens and have found them to be very impressive. The 15 incher is a bit expensive for such a small TV at the moment but it would be the envy of every other kitchen in the neighbourhood.

OLED technology itself really is stunning and it's great that LG are investing heavily in it.
  • I own LG GW620. The full sliding keyboard makes the phone a bit thicker, and increases the weight significantly. Personally I find that this makes the LG GW620 Android phone a little less comfortable to handle. Other than that, really great phone. Cheers, Peter

    Thanks Peter,

it really does come down to whether or not you want a QWERTY keyboard with your phone. The new LG Optimus is another Android power phone, but without QWERTY keyboard. Could be worth a look...
  • Good looks and friendly feel, the GW620 has the right feature pack to get you started on Android. It’s a midrange device for the young, and some of its shortcomings should be easy to forgive. Anyway, good review. Best Regards, Mike F.
