LG today unveiled it's new series of incredible 3D TVs and accessories:
A 47 " LED 3D HD TV
A 55" LCD HD 3D TV with 3D Camera and Film sharing capabilities
A 55" LCD HD Full LED slim TV
A 60" 3D Plasma TV
A 72" LCD HD Full LED slim TV
A LG 3D Projector for screens appox 300"
A 3D enabled Blu-ray player

The LG CES stand has literally blown me away. There is so much innovation on display here and thousands of people bustling around trying to see as much as possible. There is in excess of 180 TVs on display, touch tables demonstrating LG mobile phones, a giant display of 52 linked Infinia LED screens, a huge 84" screen TV and amazing magic wand remote control TV technology!!! We are going to document some exciting TV information on LGs launches for the year ahead tomorrow. So here is a reminder of some of the key definitions:
Plasma: 42-60" TVs, perfect for fast sport viewing & movies due to the the deep black level. There is zero haze due to the spot bulb lighting the pixels.
LCD: 19-55" TVs. Big back light. Good viewing depth, best for gaming & general entertainment (soaps & dramas).
LED: Much slimmer TVs. More energy efficient. Edge lighting - far better contrast bright levels & colour levels. (Nature programmes, movies)
OLED: Individual lighting behind pixels, amazing colour contrast...

LG 47″ LCD 3D TV Launches in the UK this April!

The whole TV market is gearing up for 3D TV and LG are there at the front with their 47" 3D TV and glasses. LG 3D TV will be completely compatible with the Sky+ 3D channel which is due to launch this October. This will enable incredible experiential viewing of sports, music concerts & videos and 3D movies. Cannot wait to try on the glasses tomorrow.

LG CES press conference bursting at the seams!!

When we arrived this morning for the LG press conference people were queuing all through the Venetian Hotel to get in! The room was literally bursting full of people, and many couldn’t get in, in fact it turned into a “one in, one out” scenario! There were camera men, global journalists and tech fanatics all desperate to hear about LG’s new launches. We really felt the energy behind LG’s innovations and ever growing success stories – it felt great to be a part of it and we’re really excited about what this must mean for LG in 2010.

LG announce launch of new Infinia TVs

Today we got to see for the first time the new family of Infinia premium viewing TVs. This range includes Full LED Slim TVs and accessories. The Full LED Slim TVs work with “detailed local dimming of up to 240 addressable segments, resulting in an HDTV that provides deeper black levels and uniform picture quality - this typically can not be achieved on an ultra-thin set.” (This basically means far better contrast between dark and light.) Aside from OLED, these puppies really are the crème de la crème of TV viewing for the year ahead:

TV as thin as a £1 coin: LG OLED TV to launch in the UK later this year

Tomorrow's LG conference will see us getting information on the release date of LG's thinnest yet TVs.
Yes, about as thin as a £1 coin. 0.25cm thin to be exact.
Lots of people 'in the know' are already talking about the launch of LG's 15" OLED TV to be launched later this year, however I can reveal exclusivley that there may be a much bigger screen size OLED launching before 2011 too.
