The LG Serie 1 TV. A blast from the past!

LG announce their highest fourth quarter earnings

The recession has had massive global repercussions, from a significant downturn in consumer spending, right down to morale levels. Fortunately the recession hasn’t hit LG’s product line as they continue full steam ahead with some great 2010 innovations.
Despite the current economic slump, LG Electronics Inc. yesterday reported record revenues and operating profits in the fourth quarter of 2009, and results for 2009 as a whole were up on the previous year. First impressions of the LG GW620 Android phone

Today I finally got my hands on an LG GW620 and was so busy playing with it I almost forgot to tell you about it!
My first impressions are positive. It looks good without being overly flashy subjecting you to unwanted attention from undesirables. It’s well designed ergonomically, fitting nicely in your hand, as well as having a bit of weight to it reminding you it is a serious piece of technology. LG InTouch Max GW620 reviewed

Techradar.com have posted their review of LG’s first android phone, the InTouch Max GW620, awarding it 4 out of 5 stars!
The review states “LG has clearly thought about what users want from a phone like this”, listing the easy to use slide out QWERTY keyboard, high quality 5.0 mega-pixel camera, effective social networking overlay and it’s reasonable price as highlights.
Their main complaint with the phone is the use of the S-class UI (user interface) system, which the reviewer personally struggled with, but also conceded that it can be turned off according to preference.

LG Premieres first 3DTV in the UK this Sunday showcasing live Premiership Football
January 28th, 2010 by Dave@LGUKThis Sunday LG and Sky will be bringing 3D to consumers across UK and Ireland, as 9 pubs will be exclusively screening the Premier League showdown between Arsenal and Manchester United in 3D. These selected pubs have been kitted out with the LG 47 inch LD920 3D TV, giving lucky football fans the opportunity to be the first in the world to view the Premier League in 3D.
These lucky spectators will be getting a sneak preview of the LG LD920 TV before it’s released in April. Consumers will be able to enjoy their favourite 3D movies and video games as well as programming, as Sky launch their dedicated 3D channel in 2010 covering sports, movies and entertainment.
The 47inch LD920 will be the UK’s first 3D TV to be released as part of the LG commitment to making high quality TV more accessible, and this initiative with Sky does just that. Stephen Gater, LG’s head of marketing goes on to say that ‘2010 will see the realisation of many exciting technologies in TVs – 3D is just one of them. With exciting developments like these, watching television in the home will soon be an even more exciting, immersive and powerful experience.’

The single greatest Christmas present I ever received was my NES games console. Did you know polar bears have black skin? Some clever people will tell you with a knowing smile that it’s blue, but I just looked it up, and it’s black. This is because black absorbs more heat from the sun.
