LG Android Phone Unveiled
November 12th, 2009 by Dave@LGUKLast night, we invited a small group of bloggers and online journalists to an exclusive event at London’s private member’s club, Adam Street. This was a highly anticipated event as it was the first chance for attendees to hear detailed information and get hands-on time with LG’s first Android Phone, the GW620*.
After a few canapés and drinks, we settled down to listen to LG’s Sales and Marketing Director, John Barton, run through the latest range of phones, including the Chocolate BL40, Chocolate BL20, GM750, Pop GD510 and the eagerly awaited GW620.

The main talking point of the night was the Android phone, of which bloggers were able to see and test out a pre-production sample. As you can see, it features a finger-friendly, 5-line slider QWERTY keyboard, perfect for instant messaging or writing emails, and lots of other really useful features like Auto Face-Tagging and Face To Action technology, a 5-megapixel AF camera and high-resolution video recorder, and a brilliant SNS manager, making it easy to integrate and update all of your accounts.
We got some really great feedback and we cannot wait to show everyone the final version early next year.

After the presentation, all attendees had plenty of one-to-one time with our LG trainers to ask questions and take a closer look at the phones…and finish the remaining mini profiteroles and lemon meringue pies of course!
Look out for product demos and videos from the event, which will be up on the blog soon.
