LG TVs continue to impress
August 25th, 2009 by LucyHIn the run up to next week’s IFA, with all the latest home entertainment technology to be unveiled, you’d be forgiven for thinking that TVs already on the market would be taking a bit of a back seat, but that’s not the case for a couple of LG’s 2009 range..
First off, the LG 42LH5000 breezed through What HiFi’s ‘Super Test’ scoring 5 stars:
Class-leading detail
The TV’s ability to reproduce accurate and natural skin tones remains one of its main strengths, but detail, sharpness and motion are also class-leading.
The Freeview tuner adds just a touch of noise to a delivery that’s otherwise very similar to that of DVD, while the sound from the ‘Invisible Speakers’ is a bit bright, but otherwise fairly open and clear.In other words; there’s nothing that should put you off the LG – at this money, it’s amazing.
Then Stuff Online recommended the 42LH5000 as one of their Stuff.tv Hot Buys:
Even though it only costs £750, down from a grand, this LG set has the features of a premium TV: 200Hz motion processing, four HDMI inputs and a USB socket for playing MP3s, JPEGs and movie files are all packed in.
The 42LH5000 is handsome, too, with a gloss-black finish that’s enhanced by a blue power light and clear Perspex wings either side of the fascia.
But it’s not just the LH5000 getting attention – Home Cinema Choice have love, in the form of a Best Buy recommendation, for the 32LH4000.
Easy on the eye, the 32LH4000 is also easy on the wallet, despite including Twin XD Engine processing and USB multimedia support
