We’ve just found out that the LG 42LF7700 has been shortlisted for TV of the year in the T3 awards!

2009 shortlist announced
The first round of voting is over, the experts have been quizzed and all the ballots have been counted. Now T3 can now reveal which products have made it through to the shortlist for the prestigious T3 Gadget Awards 2009, in association with Qualcomm.

Over 65,000 votes have been cast and each of the 18 categories have been ruthlessly whittled down from 10 products to five. And there have been some surprising results. Expect some fierce battles in the next phase of voting.

An intelligently designed and functional TV, with nice touches like the plastic strip along the bottom that merges into whatever colour the set‘s on, whilst directing sound at the same time. The icing on LG’s cake here is the inclusion of built in Freesat, meaning that HD TV’s yours without any monthly outlay.

So the esteemed judges on the T3 awards panel think the LF7700 is good enough to eat and that the icing on our cake is the built-in Freesat (and that is pretty tasty!) but for LG the REAL icing is knowing that all the hard work has paid off by receiving such an exciting nomination!
