40 years ago today – just over an hour ago, in fact! – Apollo 11 launched. To celebrate, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum have set up a website, fittingly called ‘We choose the moon‘ and mission tracker widget, which allow you to follow the crew on their mission.

Currently we’re just over an 85minutes in and on Stage 3 of the mission – Orbiting Earth:

It’s a nice site and well worth a look, even if you’re not a big fan of Space.
