Illusion Shoes
June 5th, 2009 by agenda21
These shoes are very strange. What looks like a women floating in the air is in fact a rather nifty sole of the shoe, made to give the wearer apparent levitation powers.
Hurts. My....

LG’s 2009 TV range is now on film!
June 4th, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
Edd Dale from LGE UK's training team took some time out of his busy schedule to present these videos about the 2009 TV range for us. Some of them introduce new models in the range, including the LG PS8000 Plasma and this one on the LF7700 LCD TV with built-in FreeSat:
Others deal with specialized queries or explaining what the new features and technologies mean for the TV owner, such as USB connectivity or this demonstration of the - remarkable, I think, power-saving capabilities of the LG Intelligent Sensor - by constantly responding to the conditions of the surrounds the sensor...

Digg announce ‘Digg Ads’ – giving users a way to feedback
June 4th, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
Props to Rocio from LG Blog ES for spotting this one: Yesterday Digg announced plans for a new advertising platform — Digg Ads.
Digg Ads will give you more control over which advertisements are displayed on Digg. The more an ad is Dugg, the less the advertiser will have to pay. Conversely the more an ad is buried, the more the advertiser is charged, pricing it out of the system.
...
The goal here is to give advertisers a way to present content related to their brands and get immediate input on whether it’s relevant to the Digg audience, or not.
Here’s...

June 4th, 2009 by agenda21
Leaping around a London street near you, a limited run of Rabbit rubbish bins created by Paul Smith of stripey shirt fame. Apparently the ears light up as you throw trash into them.

LG warms up for Twenty20 with Fantasy Cricket
June 3rd, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
It's June and the Cricket season is here and as big fans LG have created a special Fantasy Cricket World Cup game to celebrate. As someone who's never really gotten into Cricket, I'm using this as an opportunity to try and gain some insight into the rules/scoring system and as it's based on the World Twenty20 Cricket tournament itself, LG's game should be a good learning experience!
Using the tournament for it's structure means the points part of the game will start after the first group stage match on Friday, 5th June, and will run through to the final match...

A Global Warming Bookshelf – Seriously?!?
June 2nd, 2009 by agenda21
Whilst I must admit this Global Warming Bookshelf does look very cool, I'm at a loss to how this bookshelf can help you save the environment. The designer says he aims to "remind people to fight global warming" but I'm sure that a picture frame of a polar bear on a tiny ice cap would do a much better job!

What Hi-Fi? brand the LG 42LH5000 a ‘quality TV’
June 2nd, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
What Hi-Fi? Sound & Vision have given the LG 42LH5000 LCD TV 5 stars, citing it as "Elegant and good value - a quality TV at a sensible price."
The LH5000 is extensively equipped. You won’t find wi-fi or widgets, but there are four HDMIs and a media-friendly USB input.
Setup is reassuringly simple
LG has put a lot of effort into making this outwardly complex set easy to use. Onscreen menus are clean and intuitive, and a built-in Picture Wizard guides you through the basics of picture...

The LG Arena KM900 photo competition – win £250!
June 1st, 2009 by Dave@LGUK
Last week on our Official LG KM900 Arena Facebook Fan Page we launched a new photography competition:
Have you ever been to Italy and taken a picture of yourself holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa?To celebrate the touchy-feelyness of the LG Arena KM900 we want to see your 'Touch Everything' photos.
The idea is to take a 'forced perspective' photograph - if you need inspiration, there are plenty of great examples to be found on Flickr or this stunner, a former winner of the 'Life's Good' competition on LG Loop:
then upload it here, get your friends to vote by 'liking' the...
