Last week Freesat and LG signed a partnership deal which will result in a range of LG TV’s to be launched in the UK this year with Freesat HD built in. Similar to Freeview digital services, but broadcast via satellite, Freesat is a free service that normally requires a set-top box, prices of which start at £98.
Freesat HD offers a huge variety of viewing options enabling HD viewing on BBC and ITV in superb picture clarity without any subscription or contract.

The new 2009 LG LCD LF7700 series will be available in 32”, 37”, 42” and 47” screens and will provide inbuilt access to over 140 free TV and radio channels, including the BBC and ITV’s HD services.

The LF7700 series also has the following features:

• Full HD 1080p: which gives the consumer up to 5 times the picture clarity and detail in comparison to standard definition taking you even closer to the action
• 100hz: delivers smother motion to boost your enjoyment of faster moving action scenes including both sports and movies. (42” and 47” only)
• USB 2.0: Allows the user to connect their digital camera, M-P-3 player or flash memory via the U-S-B connection for a true multimedia experience.
• Invisible speakers: The ‘Invisible Speaker’ technology tuned by Mr. Mark Levinson, will enhance your audio experience by increasing the ‘sweet spot’ to give a wider and richer sound field.
