Following on from our recent posts detailing new AV products and the ’09 range of LG LCD TVs announced at CES last week, we can now bring you more news of LG’s new Plasma HDTV range, announced at the tradeshow.

Three new plasma HDTV series use the latest generation of panel technology for improved brightness, reduced reflectivity and fast response time with 600Hz smooth motion (sub-field driving) for an incredible viewing experience. The 1080p series (PS6000 and PS8000) also features THX Display Certification providing accurate picture reproduction and a more immersive viewing experience.

The PS8000 series comes equipped with “THX Media Director,” a feature designed to simplify operation, ensuring optimised settings, use of product features and deliver a realistic entertainment experience, just as the director intended. THX Media Director enables movies, music and other digital media to communicate picture and sound settings directly to other compatible consumer electronics devices, dynamically configuring them for the ultimate playback experience.
