Found online

No, nothing to do with FFFFound, although that’s always worth a visit too, just a couple of interesting things I’ve come across on my travels through the internet today, firstly an inspired bit of advertising gadgetry from marker pen brand Sharpie:

The creative minds working for Sharpie, the ultimate in permanent markers, have discovered a way to satiate our desires to deface public domain.  Interactive e-cast billboards have been scattered around cities, which allow people to experience the rush of creating their own graffiti.

And, (unfortunately I have no idea who, why or when) these plasticine creatures are fantastic and impressive when you realise how small they are, not to mention adorable!

If you know who they’re by please let me know!

And to finish, ever wondered what a 1,474-megapixel photo might look like? Wonder no more, David Bergman – with a little help from a Gigapan imager – has made on of President Obama’s Inaugural Address.

Before Tuesday, I had photographed five presidents and covered big events including the Olympics, the Super Bowl, and concerts like Live 8 and Live Earth.

But this one was the biggest.

It deserved a big photo.

I made a panoramic image showing the nearly two million people who watched President Obama’s inaugural address.

It certainly is big. It also manages to be clever! I would hate to steal his thunder so click here to see the photo in all it’s glory and make sure you play about with the zoom options to really make the most of it!
