50 Strange Buildings of the World

December 4th, 2008 by Dave@LGUK

- by Village of Joy I've only seen 3 of these buildings in person (the 2 in London and the Lotus temple in India) all of which are at the less-extreme end of the scope of strange on display. Some of the others are .. deformed, bizarre or mind(and material!)-bending! It actually hurts my eyes to look at some of these buildings! Video: And now the LG7000′s turn

December 3rd, 2008 by Dave@LGUK

The other day I featured the LG4000 LCD TV and a product video with the excellent Edd talking about it and its features. A unique flip action, folding and unfolding ceaselessly in your hand Playful tactile transformations reveal a new functional interface with every flip, a mobile phone, a music sampler, a mp3 player, a camera and when open a “speaker box”. See for yourself: Oddly, I had more trouble believing in Box to Play at first glance - Pomegranate's...

December 2nd, 2008 by Dave@LGUK

Someone sent me a link to some amazing Japanese barcodes this morning. These are by D-Barcode, a Japanese company whose website's title is "BIG IDEAS ARE SMALL, DESIGN BARCODE." Unfortunately the rest of the site is in Japanese so I can't find out more but it's a lovely idea, making the barcode part of the package design rather than the more usual white rectangle tacked on at the end. As Weird Asia News put it: It is said that barcodes are the bane of the modern graphic designer. Many distribution people compound the headache by insisting on conspicuous white rectangles, which...

In October LG launched their Mobile Developer Network site, which provides tools to develop applications for LG mobile phones and provides a range of technical documentation to help you understand the technologies and how to create applications and content for LG mobile phones. The LG Mobile Developer Network provides resources for numerous mobile technologies, as well as downloadable guides, a support system and a community hub where members can ask questions, share information, and learn about mobile application development.
