A quick post with a tip for any chaps struggling with Christmas shopping for their other halves. I found out that John Lewis are hosting a series of men-only ‘Lingerie academies’ in their London Oxford Street (17 – 19 December) and Peterborough(20 – 21 December) stores.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything more on the John Lewis site but the BBC video, linked below, should have more information for anyone trying to work out if they need a helping hand braving the ‘frillies’ section (as my gran used to call it when in the presence of men!)

Oh, apparently there is also beer… Christmas shopping has never been so easy!

The festive season sees many a sheepish man loitering guiltily in underwear departments around the country, before panic-buying something red and lacy.
On Boxing Day, many of these purchases are returned by wives and girlfriends – a phenomenon known as the “boomerang bra” effect.
To stop this happening John Lewis are holding a series of men-only “lingerie academies” around the country. Nervous men can enjoy a chilled beer while getting expert advice.
