Wont load camera,stuck on loading...please help

I bought a Secret as a present for my father. It's a constant embarrassment because of its 1001 bugs. The PC software is also pretty poor. You have lost two customers forever, and I'm busy telling everyone I know that LG does *not* support its products. Very silly, LG! Very silly!

I bought my LG Secret in november of last year. The first thing I noticed was about a 1 second delay whenever I used the neon touch buttons. About a week in I was writing an sms and the screen colours randomly inverted and the phone reset. I put it down to a one off glitch but then it started doing it more and more often. I also noticed that the camera was locked on focusing at about 10cm. With all this I called LG and they suggested I take it in for a look at a repair centre. They took my phone for about 2 weeks, but when I got it back they had fixed the camera focus problem and it appeared they had fixed the other issues too...alas after about another week my phone reset during sms and has continued doing so randomly. The delay is there also, though I can kind of deal with it but would be better if it were fixed. Perks that the camera stayed fixed though! Thinking about going to the repair centre again but haven't had the chance!
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have recently purchased an unclocked lg secret from amazon.com.I am using it in Trinidad and Tobago. Had some problems configuring the MMS and Internet settings as the service provider in my country does not support LG mobiles, anyhow... i did get the settings eventually and i am now able to browse the web, however, i am trying to download gmail mobile application to the phone but as soon as download begins, it stops and says Network service is lost!! However..when I look at my reception, all the bars are up!! any ideas?

why does the backlinght on my lg secret keep flashing whilst the charger is in but the phone does not come on how can i fix this problem please sombody help

If Lg does not make any public updates (because there are leaked fw, but you need an special cable to flash it) is going to loose a lot of customers and any companyu doesn't want that, every people i know hate it because it is too slow, it takes shitty pictures when theres no light (room, club, etc.). I'm regretting of gettin this phone because i wanted to buy a cybershot but i thought that this was a good phone, well i was wrong, i wont ever buy any lg electronics until this gets fixed

I too have an issue with the phone randomly turning itself off when it wants to! It will work fine for a few days and then it will turn itself off and the only way to turn it back on is to remove the battery. This is my first LG phone and while I like the design, all that doesn't matter if the phone keeps turning itself off! LG - if you are listening...please fix this!

I have been searching for the latest firmware for my KF750 and found non thus far. I really regret buying this LG phone, and can't wait for my contract to end. The phone looks good, and that's about all. There are so many anoying little things that just doesn't work properly or poorly. If I can't get my hand on the latest firmware for this phone, I will never buy LG product again.

Gutted, absolutely gutted, is the way Im feeling at the moment and my phone hasnt even arrived yet. I went for this phone as they had a very good offer on price from my local provider, now I know why. Im just praying to God that mine wont be one of the crappy ones out there. Like a lot of people say on here, the Secret has so much potential and "STYLE THAT LATS" but its no bloody good if you dont have the software to go with it, how can it last? at final, LG Secret just like beta version for all buyer. How LG can cheating mobiles market? no provide software / firmware update, a lot bug appear after few week u buy it. if LG not provide any update on Internet, please... just get out of mobile market. I just have LG Secrect less than 1week and it start reboot forever with no reason.

My lg secret which I have had for less than a week crashes at least twice a day and also will turn itself off even during use and with a fully charged battery according to the onscreen icon.
Also sometimes tells me my memory card is not inserted and same with my sim card. Both work fine in my work mates secret.
While replacing the sim earlier I noticed that the indicators for water damage are both pink. The closest i have been to water with my phone is walking to work in the rain but I keep my phone in a case in the inside pocket of my coat. The LG has been an enormous let down!

Nevrmind, I just bought a brand new Pixon and it's way better than the Renoir. It's one of the best buys I have ever made. At the shop they guaranteed me regular updates of firmware and Samsung doas have a reputation. Too bad, one less LG you guys sold!!!! It did cost 504 € but I do not regret it, it's an amazing piece of both software and hardware.

I am with everyone else, the phone has so much potential but it is probably the worst phone I have ever owned! It just drops signal all the time even when standing still and the battery life and indicator is just a joke!

Along with the lack of support from LG I will never be purchasing a phone from them again.

Did you have contact with the official LG Developers?

The Renoir does look good and I have heard that LG will be making f/w updates for it.
The secret has a great potential but LG don't see that. After only 3 months of having it, my phone now randomly re-starts, crashes, freezes, is very slow and even turns off when I plug in the charger/data cable. I have e-mailed LG about this (about 6 time) and they have NOT replied.
I am getting fed up of the lack of support from LG!
I notice also that nobody from LG has replied to my posts on here, unlike above. Droped the blog too have they?

Uau Tom, I'm really sorry to read all of that. I will definitely not buy this phone anymore. I'll be going for the Renoir or another brand. Maybe Samsung Pixon, they at least provide software updates. How come LG acts like this? To the ppl supporting this blog, do you provide feedback to the software developers or any other head in charge of this issue? Thanks.

LG are about to relese the LG KF757, this is the LG Secret with WiFi.
Hopefuly they haven't abandoned the LG KF750, and they may have a f.w update for us??

Nobody at LG cares about the people who have already been fooled into buying this phone. They will just drop the phone and go on creating newer and newer ones. They won't even reply to my e-mails I keep sending them. I am fed up of the lack of support and help and Im fed up of the phone itself. The buttons have now stoped working and the phone constantly reboots for no reason.

I have recently taken receipt of the LG Sectret phone and I am considering sending it back. There are 4 main problems for me. 1) The battery life is exceptionally poor. 2) The signal strength varies from full to emergency calls only when even when stood still. 3) Every time you exit out of the video recorder, it reverts the settings back to default 4) you seemingly cannot assign functions to the main touch buttons yourself. Any suggestions???

Hi there, I've been looking for a new phone and did find this Secret a stylish and featured phone. Once I started looking for reviews and feedback in general I found this "official blog" and I'mnot happy with ppl is saying here. Only a couple of users are happy with this phone and software update is a MUST on any phone. I see neither replies by "official bloggers" (about firmware update) nor any decent support whatsoever. I had 2 choices, this Secret or Renoir. Now, I'm inclined to go for another brand, more expensive for sure but in this case money makes a difference. A friend of mine bought the new N96, expensive for sure but inside the CD that came along with the phone "surprise" there is a software update function and he updated it as soon as he installed it. Works like a charm. Having said this, I see no pint in buying any of these 2 LG models as they lack serious and responsible support from LG team....I'l going to spend 200 or 300 euros more (maybe on an SE C905 or N85) but at least I will rest assured that I will always have proper assistance when in need. Boooh for LG, Number 1 in Top 10 Style but number 0 (yes 0 is a number) it professionalism and competence...!!!

LG again have dropped the phone.
They don't care about any of us. And if they did they would return my countless e-mails I have sent them and FIX the phone.
Like the Viewty, the phone was supposed to be great, the spec was good and the potential of the phone even better, but LG just don't see that potential and end up making the phone crap.
Sorry, but I will NEVER buy an LG phone again unless something is done about the firmware.

I have a java issue with my secret, when i first got my phone it was great but now on certain websites to press a link in the middle of a page i have to actually press a blank part of the screen on the left, has anyone else had this?

hi. my secret's battery ran out last night and when i put it on to charge the red light just comes on on the back by the camera, just wondering if anybody has had this problem. the phone is only two weeks old.

Mine isn't so bad that I get it every day, but it's happening a lot. I'd be really interested to know if LG is looking into this. I still love the phone to bits but these little niggles are getting in the way. The firmware my phone has is: KF750-V10c

Also having problems with phone rebooting. Seems to be happening every day now. Either when retieving email or opening network connection from Opera browser.

Very interested in a firmware update. Wouldn't it be great if the touch screen was aways enabled, not just in touch media mode.

My Secret keeps rebooting itself as well. It seems to be completely random. I've tried switching to internal memory (I have a 2GB card installed) but it still happens.

Update people. My Secret died again. Flashing S.O.S using morse code. The LG logo flashing. Called up O2. They dont have the secret in stock (wooohoo) This means i get a new handset of equal or greater value from them as a replacement. Was offered the Samsung Tocco, S.E C902, Nokia N95 or samsung Soul. So iv gone for the Soul. Dont want nothing big too complicated or anything,

Ironically, i spent 3 weeks deciding, Secret or Soul. Secret has crapped out on me twice, Now i have a Soul.

I have the LG Secret 2 and some of the blue LED' button's stopped shining. But more of a problem indeed is the firmware.
1. Firmware is slow
2. Can't remove all my sms's without clearing the whole reserved memory or i have to delete them one by one.
3. Sometimes it shut's down for no reason.

Hi, I bought this phone after seeing it advertised with the ability to play divx video. I was impressed with the quality of the picture, and video footage is easily viewable. Overall I've had almost no problems, bar 1 software issue. Two essential options are missing from the video player, fast forward and rewind!!

Will ther be an update made available to include these valuable options, as having a video player is pointless if you have to start from the beginning every time, unless you are able to watch the video end to end.

Does LG provide firmware or software updates, and where do we find them? Software updates are a must have option for any phone.

I am grateful for you attributing it to a hardware problem. This is my second KF750 with a 'hardware' problem and i am concerned that the next KF750 will also have problems. Since my last note, my phone intermittently wont make or receive calls, it receives texts, but doesn't notify me or show them in my inbox until i restart phone to see 15 messages in inbox, all with appropriate timestamps. Im at the end of my tether with this phone, short of moving to another LG phone of equal or greater value and features, im seriously considering selling it on ebay and buying another brand.

It sounds like this is a hardware issue, HQ have adviced you take one of the following courses of action:

either call our call centre on: 08700 505123 and book the handset in for repair, OR book the handset in for repair online via the LG mobile web booking system: www.lgrepair.co.uk

A pre-paid bag will be sent to you once you have for you to return the handset for repair. Normal turn around time should be 5 working days. Unfortunately this does mean you would be phone-less for a couple of days, so you might want to go back to the retailer first and see if they will deal with the repairs and give you a replacement handset in the interim.

I'll email you about this too, in case you don't check here, but thought it might prove handy to have up here for yours and others reference.

Hi, my neon lights do not light up or work at all!!! They come on intermittently and then when they are on, they do not respond to any sort of touch. The only way I can SOMETIMES get them working is to slam open the slider and that sort of jolts them into action.

What a waste of an expensive phone - am very disappointed. I now have a phone I can't navigate at all. Anyone else getting this problem?

Mine's ben perfect, low lighting focus is no problem, supports the 4gb SD no problems. the touchscreen MP3 is faultess and fast.

Ok im with a few other guys on here now. My right neon doesnt light up anymore when i press it.
Also iv figured that it isnt lack of SDHC support that causes random reboots for me. Alot of the time its when the phone is accessing its internal memory when a crash occurs. Such as loading a game from internal memory rather than memory card. Or viewing media thats saved on the phone.

Does anyone elses neon lights go dim when you push the 'C' button? i never noticed it before now, and now i think something else is dying with the phone.

Upon contacting service provider and insurance company, i can get a replacement, but only the same phone model. If LG dont sort out this obviously very buggy half assed bodge of a phone then it looks like anyone who is tied to a contract with it, is stuck with a problematic high end phone for a long time!

and whats the use of a touchscreen mp3 if it takes forever to load
- also, make ur software open, or atleast release some new themes
- the cellphone takes good quality pictures, its the camera software tht screws with the lighting and everything

FIRMWARE upgrade needed badly

Using a java midlet, meanwhile a new email arrives -> the KF750 "lock's" , have to remove battery to be able to use again.

Can this be fixed?

There wil be no firmware updates.
Just buy the newest LG phone to get better firmware.

Hi, is there any possible way i can save my sms / mms messages to my PC. The software provided only lets you view messages but not save them. Either this or can you take away the restriction on msg limits through firmware.

I am also in DIRE need of a firmware update. Although your manual says the phone supports a 4Gb SD card, i think it barely supports it on a very basic level. My Secret will randomly reboot if i want to browse my pictures, receive or send a text message, take picture.

My 1st Secret had to be returned as it bricked itself. Flashing an S.O.S message using the initial LG logo.

My service provider wont change my phone model, only send me a replacement handset, which as you guessed.. is just as inconvenient. For a £250 phone you'd think there would be a little bit more support in the firmware side of things!

Example:

Don't rebuild mp3tag list when starting mediaplayer unless selected, just safe the mp3tag list when loaded (for next fast mediaplayer boot).

And:

Enable usage of touchscreen in java ;)

In the way a firmware update fixes known issues.

I'm beginning to regret my decision to buy this phone. It looks like LG don't care about supporting/fixing past models, and now I'm left with a phone that is horrible at taking pictures in poor light & is totally unuseable as a music player - play lists take up to 5 minutes to load. Boo, hiss... Can someone tell me otherwise? Please?
