I bought my Viewty today, but I was a bit disappointed with the lack of SSL support for IMAP4. So I can’t check my Gmail inbox. Any information about when this might be integrated?

Hi Jamie,

currently we have a plan to launch an online digital shop for Viewty accessories which will trial in the UK, this should go live from the end of January. We have offered all accessories to all the major channels in each of our European countries but nobody decided to buy any to sell through to the consumer, therefore we are setting up this online process to allow the consumer to contact us directly. So CPW and The Link etc might say they don’t have these but this is only because they chose not to!! When I hear the online system has gone live in the UK I’ll let you know as all the Viewty accessories will be available from there.

Hi,

Good phone with some good ideas.
But it feels like an unfinished, rushed project.
LG is well known for not providing firmware updates but there are parts of this phone that desperately need some more work.

Who on earth provides an alarm clock that doesn’t make any noise when the phone is left in Vibrate Mode?
Who provides a Recently Used (Send SMS menu) contacts list that has mutliple entries for the same people?
Why is there no (legitimate) option to add themes to the phone?

there are lists there of what people have found displeasing about this model. it could be so much more and was probably rushed out because of the IPhone release.

Hi guys, hope you can help.
I have upgraded to the viewty, it’s my first LG phone, quite like the phone and features but having problems connecting it to my laptop via the USB cable. The software provided with the phone has been installed and the phone is recognised and seems to be connected, but if I try to click on content, the program has an error and needs to close (option to send error report or not type window) has anyone else reported this issue? any ideas? error report shows below:

ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 0000f2b8

Got my KU990 Viewty yesterday … and I absolutely love it. But does anyone know where you can buy the leather protector case and charger cradle advertised on the viewty website ????

Ive recently purchased a viewty and its great apart from one really annoying thing

It doesnt support ssl on the email section

Why why why why when almost every provider these days uses this!

Are you planning to release software upgrades to this handset?
